I recently replaced my Panasonic ES8097A with this model, which is about half the price of the Panasonic. This Philips model is quieter than all linear blade razors that I’ve used. The first charge on the battery actually lasted 23 days for me, although I’m a pretty easy shave.
The battery dies suddenly and then you can plug it in to finish a shave. The shave is close enough that I no longer do a manual shave once a week and this model does a great job on my neck compared to previous linear blade systems as well.
I would recommend this as a backup or travel shaver and just spend more for a top of the line shaver.
